Rasterize option

Post by clascloud »

Hi, I would like to ask about the Rasterize option available in CloudCompare. Is there a detailed description and philosophy of this option available somewhere on the Internet? I would like to know if the result can be considered as orthophomosaic? Is the resulting image orthogonal?
Greetings, Adam :)

Something like that? https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... /Rasterize

And yes, that's definitely an orthophoto/mosaic.

Hi! Thank you for your response. I understand now :)
I have one more quick question: where can I check the pixel size [m]?
Is it hidden under "Grid" and "step" in the Rasterize option?

Yes, that's equivalent to the pixel size. And you have to actually set it yourself (depending on the original cloud density, your own preferences, etc.).
