From Scott M.:
<< I was wondering if you are planning on a fly through mode for the
camera. If I have a 3D scan of a room its somewhat hard to get inside
to look at the scan data. >>

Maybe its a good idea to add something like in sketchup:
- Pick a point, and then place the camera like 1.80m up to this point (z axis), and auto toogle to viewer baser perspective.

Eventually, we could add shortcuts for allow a (really simple) navigation:
-UP : forward (in regard to the current view direction done by viewer based perspective) with constant z
-DOWN : backward constant z
Maybe also some Left Right, but not really needed if using center based perspective...

The only problem is that you cannot use EDL in this case, since EDL doen'st work when camera is close are inside a bounding box...

Only ideas,

JFH

WASD + MOUSE would be a blast.
