Nice, I haven't made the annoucement but you can now acces to beta and nighly builds through snap channels. It worth it since CloudCompare is very stable, even in dev process. you can read how to install these alternatives snaps on the download page http://www.danielgm.net/cc/release/ Regards, Romain.

You can report anything you see :) If you think it's related to the package or Linux dependent, I should try to answer. According to the code of qPCL, it's not the normal behavior, RGB values should be loaded. Unfortunately I'm not an user of this plugin and I haven't any environnement to reproduce ...
