How_to_compare_two_3D_entities | percentage of matching

Post by Antoine »

Dear all, Daniel,

this post is related to C2C or M3C2 analysis and scale bar results
https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... D_entities

I was wondering how I could get a percentage of a C2C result in addition to the scale bar.
I mean, in the scale bar we can have a idea of the amount of pts below a given value... but If I want to know exactly what is the percentage of pts below a threshold (or why not asking : what is the value in the scale bar where 68% is meet ?).

something similar to QUANTILE https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantile

thanks

antoine

Ah, that's not possible in CloudCompare (in the current state at least).

For now you can export the distance values by exporting the cloud to ASCII (typically with a CSV format) and import it in Excel or a similar tool.

Ah the histogam may be a little bit inaccurate (as it's already processed). That's why I was suggesting exporting the raw scalar field (with the points)
