Picking points on the fitted plane

Post by MazenMeso »

Hello, Mr. Daniel, I trust you're doing well.

I've established two perpendicular planes aligned with the C2M distances. Now, I aim to select multiple points on the plane created to enhance the precision of vertical distance measurements because my cloud has a cylinder shape.

I attempted to select various points named Point @Tri 0 and 1. Occasionally, the selection process succeeds, but other times it fails (keeping my selection as a rotation center, as depicted in the attached image).

My query is, how can I select numerous points on the plane, unrestricted by the cloud, for my measurements?

Can you simply hide the cloud? (or did I misunderstand your question?).

Also, you might be interested in using the 'Point list picking' tool if you want to select multiple points on a particular entity.
