Changes in Ubuntu packages

Post by Romain.Janvier »

A new package is avalaibale on launchpad for 12.04/14.04

* Other Ubuntu versions (12.10/13.04/13.10) are not supported by Canonical anymore, so I won't upgrade packages for these. So please upgrade your OS to 12.04 or 14.04 or downgrade your package to 2.5.3 if you experienced the issue described here : http://www.danielgm.net/cc/forum/viewto ... f=12&t=927
* LAS/LAZ support is now avalaible for 14.04 since liblas version in Ubuntu repos now meet our requirements.

Happy Clouding

Is there a way to add plugins to the Ubuntu package that you are providing? I specifically need the plugin to load pcd files (point cloud library) and I believe I need libQPCL and/or libQPCL_IO.
Or do I need to build myself with this plugins enabled?

I made a 2.6.3.1 package with PCL plugin (for ubuntu 15.10), but since some users report some issue with this plugin I did not publish it on Bintray.
if you can test it (if you *do have* 15.10), it should be very nice and I'm ok to send it to you.
Else I'm afraid you'll have to build it on your own or wait a couple of week more.
