Re: -RASTERIZE in Command line mode

Can you maybe share the point cloud with me as well? (admin [at] cloudcompare.org).

And just to make sure: which version are you using?

Re: Unable to apply new color scale other than default one

If you want to see a change when you click on Apply, you have to open the "Color Scale Manager" via the gear icon next to the 'current' color scale field in the entity properties. Otherwise, there's no link between the displayed entity and this dialog. In which case you have to close the d...

Re: Export icon greyed out in List Point Picking

That's weird... Does it work with less points?

And have you tried with the 2.10 version maybe?

(otherwise we'll probably have to ask Andy to test that on his side)

Re: ccViewer is unable to find the Qt files despite exist

I'm not a Linux guru, but I remember that you add to call a command at least once to declare the .so files so that they can be found when running CloudCompare. Sadly I can't remember what the command was exactly, and they it doesn't seem to be explained anymore in the newest build instructions ( htt...

Re: Segmention of point cloud with 3d Clipping box, command line

To reply to your 2 last messages: - the cross section tool (with the XML file) can be used to segment the cloud with a clipping box automatically shifted in one or more directions, and with a potential gap between each 'cut' if necessary. You cannot use it for listing all the clipping box positions ...

Re: Incorrect orientation of point cloud

Several things can happen here: - you made a mistake in the pairing of real and manual points (but if you take 6 pairs, it's unlikely it's just a simple mistake) - your global coordinates are not in a 'direct' coordinate system, or the cloud is not (e.g. mirrored, etc.) - you took all the reference ...

Re: Extract raw data result from M3C2

Just save the cloud as an ASCII/Text file. You'll have one each line each point coordinates and all it's associated fields (colors, normals and scalar fields).

Re: creating DTM from TLS pointcloud with "minimum height" function

qCSF tends to generate much cleaner clouds 'by design'. I don't think one need to clean it afterwards. Otherwise, it's hard to tell for the right 'resolution', as it mainly depends on your clouds density. And it's a quite simple way to address this problem, therefore I wouldn't expect a too much det...

Re: interpolate on raster causes crash

Okay I fixed this (but has it really worked before?!).

You can find a preview here version: https://www.cloudcompare.org/release/Cl ... up_x64.exe

And thanks for the feedback!

Ah, this feature has always been suggested a while ago (by Romain Janvier if I'm not mistaken). However it hasn't been implemented yet...
