Sorry, I don't understand your problem well enough to be able to help. LAS files don't contain the trajectory of the vessel. But sometimes you have the GPS time and the scan angle rank, etc. that may help 'guessing' it. But if you have this trajectory as a polyline for instance in CC, you won't be a...

Hum, those stripes look like the big coordinates were not handled properly and some accuracy has been lost... It may not help the classification process!

I guess it's because they don't have exactly the same extents. In this case, you can at least setup the grid extents (with the 'Edit grid' button of the Rasterize tool) so that the starting point is the same. Meshlab can import point clouds (ASCII, PLY, etc.).

As the documentation says, you have to select (highlight) a point cloud. And make sure you select the cloud and not its container in the DB tree.

If it's only scaled, then you'd better run the registration first yes. But if it's already scaled AND registered, then no need to use fine registration of course.

Ah, no, the 3D name are always displayed in the center of the object (bounding-box). They are not meant to be displaced...
