Cloud Compare retains the color information. Either it switching the display off of RGB and onto Scalar Fields or under scalar fields you can select your intensity values and choose the original values instead of the cloud to mesh computed results.

I did some research into 3D PDF Point Clouds, It was my understanding that there was a hard limit on the number of objects it supported, something like 20,000, so you might be able to get a cloud in there, but it wouldnt look good.

For the Histogram to display even numbers we trim the cloud to even numbers. Set your scalar field to the nearest round numbers. I have made great use of this and wanted to say thank you for adding it to the program. I saw an article in Lidar News that talked about how they used Cloud compare to help their project, was happy to see your program in a magazine, even if one of our greatest secret weapons is getting more publicity.

I was wondering if you would consider adding support for the leap motion https://www.leapmotion.com/ This would be a purely wow effect, but I think it would be awesome if I could move around the cloud using just my hand...

Thanks for the consideration and the quick reply. I talked about the idea with a coworker and realized it already exists for a mesh, just not point cloud.
